Short description About Everest reason Nepal

Nepal is loaded with spectacular mountain vistas. The name “Everest” is magic in itself. Mt. EVEREST (8848m.) is called “SAGARMATHA” in Nepali-“above the sky” and “CHHOMOLUNGMA” in Tibetan-“Mother Goddess of the Earth. Trekking in the Everest (Solukhumbu) region of Nepal is amongst the most dramatic and picturesque in the Himalaya. The scenery is varied and spectacular, the lodgings and tracks of very high standard, and the interaction with the local inhabitants is forever memorable. Everest (Khumbu) region of Nepal includes the upper catchments areas of the Dudhkoshi and Bhotehoshi Rivers and is largely composed of rugged terrain and gorges of the high Himalayas,

The famed Sherpa people, whose lives are interwoven with the teachings of Buddhism, live in the region. The renowned Tengboche and other monasteries are common gathering places to celebrate religious festivals such as Dumje and Mane Rumdu. In addition to Tengboche, Thame, Khumjung and Pangboche are some other famous Sherpa settlements and monasteries but Namche Bazaar is the administrative headquarters of the Everest (Khumbu) region. The Sherpa were of Tibetan origin having travelled over the high Tibetan passes to settle in the Nepalese highlands. They developed trade between the two countries bringing gems, wool and salt from Tibet in exchange for the plentiful Nepalese products. The Sherpa’s brought their Buddhist religion with them, which they evolved to develop their own sect of the faith. They are very generous and spiritual people with a colourful lifestyle and our trek allows us to spend time with them in their homeland.

The Thame, khumjung, Namche , Tyangboche are popular for Sherpa culture while Phortse is famous for wildlife viewing. There are some high adventure passes worth crossing over such as Chola pass, Renjola pass, Tashi lapha pass, Amphu lapcha pass Serpinicool pass and many climbing and expedition peaks but mostly the destinations of the trekking tour in Everest( Khumbu) region are Kalapattar, Gokyo and Everest Basecamp. Regarding the scenery can see very beautiful open view of mountains such as Kongde, Kusum kangru, Thamaserku, Amadablam, Baruntse, Makalu, Everest, Lotse, Choletse, Lhotsesar, Nuptse, Choyu, Pumori etc. However, the trekkers must have a guide and proper equipment for the trek.

The quickest and easiest way to reach this region is by flight to Lukla at 2853m. The SoluKhumbu region has sweeping glaciers, magnificent mountains, windswept forests, animals, birds, and monasteries and is the home of the world famous Sherpa people. The flora and fauna are rest of other ornaments of the Sagarmatha national park which is the home to the red panda, snow leopard, musk deer, Himalayan tahr, marten, Himalayan mouse hare (pika) and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan pheasant, snow cock, blood pheasant, red billed cough etc and the vegetation found at the lower altitude of the park include pine and hemlock forests, while fir, juniper, birch and rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude but the existence of the Yeti remains mysterious. For its superlative natural characteristics, UNESCO listed SNP as a World Heritage Site in 1979.
