Trekking highlights

Helumbu is the land of old Sherpa village where you can see many monasteries and ethnic groups and panoramic view of the mountain between Annapurna to Mt. Everest. The course is varied-you encounter Lamas and see Gompas (monasteries), Chorten (Stupas), and Mani stone (Prayer walls). Most of ethnic groups are believed in Buddhism. If you are in there in winter time you will see their great festival call Loshar.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Melamchi Dovan by Bus 5 hours drive and trek to Kakani
Day 02: Kakani to Shermathang
Day 03: Shermathang to Tarkeghayang.
Day 04: Tarkeghayang to Melamchi Gau.
Day 05: Melamchi Gau to Thadepati.
Day 06: Thadepati to Kutumsango.
Day 07: Kutumsango to Chisopani. 
Day 08: Chisopani to Nagarkot
Day 09: Nagarkot to Kathmandu. 
Day10: Kathamandu sightseeing (Kathamandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan UNESCO world heritage sites)
