NAR-PHU VALLEY Trekking

The Nar and Phu valleys are newly opened, spectacular regions of ethnically Tibetans inhabitants. This is a trek that combines high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, a huge expanse of high snow-peaks, ancient villages and high altitude grazing settlements, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, Gompas and unique Himalayan cultures.

Two long Day of walking from the border of Tibet, Tillman first explored this region in 1950s. Closed to trekkers until late 2002, very few westerners have explored these virtually untouched villages. The Phu is the most beautiful medieval village where you can learn the real life styles of Bhotia communities enjoy and have a pleasure of the fabulous and typical landscape of the valley. Nar Phu the population about 300 inhabitants who depend on livestock, unlike most Bhotia people, whose trading patterns changed drastically after the Nepali Government closed borders with Tibet, the people of Nar and Phu valley were least affected by this change. Nar Phu valley trekking trail is probably the best and non tourist area of Annapurna trekking routes and for those who want to explore hidden valley and trek off the beaten crossing through Challenging high passes. Along with spending plenty of time at these colorful and timeless villages, we explore the high alpine valleys above Phu (including Himlung base camp for those who want to), and crossing Kang La pass from Nar to Ngwal on the Pisang route leading back into the Annapurna circuit. Just in case one 5315-meter pass isn't enough, we will head west over the Thorong La pass (5416-meter) and down through lower Mustang where we will spend a few Day exploring before heading on to Jomsom and finally fly back to Pokhara and Kathmandu.
