Currently what we are doing?
Besides High Himalayan team's objective to function as a specialist adventure and cultural tour operator, we are committed and dedicated to serve the nation as well by paying back its local community. To enrich the objective, High Himalayan team has initiated a solely private project named "High Himalayan community welfare projects" as a NGO.
With the motto "Development through Tourism", it is aimed to let rural people of Nepal benefit from tourism. This program would help the needy & deprived people especially in the rural part of the country by different forms of community service oriented projects.
High Himalayan treks and expedition wants to contribute a part of its profit to support the project and also hopes to get contributions from tourists groups, individuals, national and international institutions etc who seek to make a meaningful contribution towards Nepalese Rural Himalayan Communities and help the country to step ahead for the sustainable development.
We believe and our mission statement is "Sustainable village tourism is a key for rural development".
An additional reason to join with High Himalayan team is its charitable association not only for profit. High Himalayan trekking and expedition Pvt. Ltd. Aim and purposes are a literacy program, poverty alleviation, and environmental protection, gender equality, improving health and hygiene, sanitation providing the idea of family planning and another our long term interest is to spread the IT access to every rural schools, villages then each home in countryside of Nepal with spending 10% of our yearly income. Means are also provided to local for the improvements of their economic status through the provision of small capital sums for business enterprises.
RUNNING PROJECTS
Nearly FUTURE PROJECTS
We are planning to conduct English and other foreign languages course in many porters' villages in near future through national and international volunteers to educate porters, their children and community. We shall come up with more projects that would primarily focus at educating rural less fortunate children from underprivileged and minority groups around the Himalayan region.
In this regard, we need your support. We are looking for sponsors who are interested in such kinds of projects. With your support, we can empower needy children through education. Since children are the mirrors of future, empowered children in a long run will undoubtedly empower the whole community and then by default the entire nation.
